The founder and the President of the Aha platform are Allu Aravind, CEO is Ajit Thakur, and Geetha Arts and My Home Group own him.
Allu Aravind once accepted publicly that he developed an addictive habit of binge-watching and was besotted in a digital environment. He was so immensely engrossed that an idea of starting a streaming platform for hosting Telugu content popped up in his head; he then consulted his family members about this project and was encouraged by everyone to move forward with this project.

KothaPoradu, Shithappens and GeethaSubhramanyam 2020 was made available as original scripted content during the soft launch. For the first year, 25 original shows were added as original scripted content, and 50 more are yet to be added in 2021. A Talk Show “Sam Jam” was also introduced, which was hosted by Samantha Akkineni.
Aha released many original films on the platform as aha original films during the pandemic. Movies like Bhanumati& Ramakrishna, Johaar, Super over, etc., were some films added to the platform.
